High Altitude Weather Balloon

While at school I was part of a team project to build a series of modules that could be strapped to a weather balloon, launched to near space and then recovered with the aim of studying the upper atmosphere. They each had sensors to investigate different characteristics of the atmosphere and, most importantly for us, cameras to take pictures of the Earth and space. We broke 4 U.K. records for weather ballooning.
